2013: Week 38

Saturday 14 September

The nappy fairy came to visit Daisy overnight, and took all her nappies away. While Jon was on potty duty this morning, I went across to pick up the photos from our photoshoot a couple of weeks ago.

Sunday 15 September

7... 8... 9... 10! Ready or not, here I come!

Monday 16 September

Daisy has taken to potty training like a duck to water. She's already going to the potty on her own, without me reminding her :).

Tuesday 17 September

PC Daisy :).

Wednesday 18 September

While I was skyping with Jon this afternoon, he noticed that Daisy was measuring up the lounge in the background...

Thursday 19 September

Back to Ipswich last night for playschool today and tomorrow. Today she was only there for the morning, and was very excited about playing with Finn when she got back to Nanny's house.

Friday 20 September

No photos today, so here's another from the photoshoot the other week.

2013: Week 37

Saturday 7 September

Daisy and Dee watching 'Minnie's Bow-toons' on the iPad - or, as Daisy calls it, the 'big phone'.

Sunday 8 September

We went to a christening today for a friend's son, and Jon was asked to be his godfather. I made this christening present for them.

Monday 9 September

A couple more photos from yesterday, as I have a few lovely ones. Daisy got this beautiful dress from Grandma and Grandad for her birthday the other week, and we thought it would be perfect for a christening (even though it already has pasta sauce stains around the neck). She loved wearing it, which made a change as she didn't wear the Sleeping Beauty dress that Daddy bought her to wear at Disneyland. This dress went down a treat - but she insisted on accessorising with her umbrella, even though it wasn't raining :).

Tuesday 10 September

Daisy is really starting to get quite vain, but it's very funny to watch :).

Wednesday 11 September

I had to go into work today at the church across the road to teach another lady to do the job that I do as she'll be taking over when we move (less than two weeks!). We each had to bring our kids with us, but they gave us very little trouble once I broke out Mickey Mouse Clubhouse :).

Thursday 12 September

We drove across to Ipswich again yesterday afternoon so Daisy could go to playschool this morning and all day tomorrow. Nanny looks after Finn on a Thursday, so Daisy was happy to see him when she got home from playschool - his presence made up for the fact that she wasn't staying at playschool to eat her lunch today, but she did still ask to eat from her lunchbox at Nanny's house. Finn is going through a bit of a pinching phase at the moment, but apparently when he left with Nanny to go home, he spent the rest of the day saying 'Daisy my friend. No pinch.'

Friday 13 September

I spent the time while Daisy was at playschool today (and yesterday) putting undercoat on the upstairs door frames in our new house, which is coming on in leaps and bounds now. This is the outside shot, which hasn't changed all that much in the last month or so, as all the work is happening inside, but the guys on the left of the shot are putting up a new fence around the perimeter. Not long now!

2013: Week 36

Saturday 31 August

Just having a rest from playing on the mat by sleeping under it.

Sunday 1 September

Mum, Dad and I did a geocache today that I've been wanting to do for a while. It involves walking the length of the two main roads in Eaton Socon and picking up clues from blue plaques on various buildings, then working out the location of the geocache. It was a lovely walk, and the final cache, when we eventually did find it, was ingenious :).

Monday 2 September

I got Mummy's shoes on!

Tuesday 3 September

I remembered to take my phone with me when we went swimming this afternoon, and I even remembered to take it out and grab a photo of Daisy wearing her new Minnie towel while eating her Marties...

Wednesday 4 September

Daisy and I drove to Ipswich this morning so she could go to a taster session at her new playschool this afternoon. The first person we spoke to happened to be Daisy's Key Worker, and she spent almost the whole hour and a half with us so Daisy got to know her before starting playschool proper tomorrow. There were a few tears at the beginning (it wouldn't be Daisy if there weren't), but she did really well and had a great time.

Thursday 5 September

Daisy had a great morning at playschool today, and when we got back to Nanny's house, Finn was there, so they played together for a couple of hours before Nanny took him home. They had loads of toys to choose from, and they chose to play with laundry baskets...

Friday 6 September

How cute is this child???

2013: Week 35

Saturday 24 August

Three years old! I couldn't choose just one photo from today, so you get three :). We had a lovely day despite the drizzly weather, opening presents, playing with presents, making Smarties cookies...

Sunday 25 August

The plan today was to have Jon's family over, but when we woke up and it was still raining we changed our plans as our house isn't big enough to accommodate everyone if we can't use the garden. So we packed up the cake and the bunting and took Daisy's birthday party to Ipswich. She had a lovely afternoon and didn't even cry when everyone sang Happy Birthday :). She wore her new Merida dress and got Brave on Blu-Ray, so she was happy :).

Monday 26 August

One of Daisy's other presents was a set of roller skates, which she spent most of today wearing. I took this shot while she was mimicking along to the skating scene in her Christmas Mickey DVD, where Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck enter a skating contest. This was a flourish near the end, I think.

Tuesday 27 August

Daisy got hot chocolate and a cookie when she got home from nursery, because Mummy's a soft touch...

Wednesday 28 August

We had some professional photos taken this morning, and I was under strict orders not to spend too much money, so we just got four shots, but I can't wait to pick them up in a couple of weeks. While we waited to view them, Daisy made friends with Iggle Piggle.

Thursday 29 August

It was Daisy's last day at nursery today, before she starts Play School in Ipswich next week. I love this photo of her with Lisa and Ashley :).

Friday 30 August

The SmartPhone Generation starts young...
