2013: Week 17

Saturday 20 April

Kisses for baby :).

Sunday 21 April

Nanna & Grandpa arrived yesterday to use our place as a car park while they go on holiday tomorrow ;), and this afternoon Daisy said 'Let's go to the park, with Mummy, and Nanna, and Grandpa!' Then she looked over at Jon and said, 'Not Dee.' He didn't take offence ;).

Monday 22 April

New shoes! As I mentioned in my monthly update, I was surprised to hear Daisy say she wanted to get her feet measured at the shoe shop, as every other time we've been it's ended in floods of tears. This time she was very good, and came away with, in her words, some 'pretty red shoes'.

Tuesday 23 April

I took this photo on the way to nursery to pick up Daisy this lunchtime. Looks like I took it just in time, because literally the following day the blossom had started to darken and drop. There are a few more trees in the area that I watched to photograph, but I left it a couple of days too late and they'd already dropped, so I'm glad I picked up my camera on the way out the door today. I'm also glad the weather was nice, too. Makes for such a better picture when there's blue sky :).

Wednesday 24 April

Daisy's favourite thing about Toddlers on a Wednesday is the stickers table. And also the biscuits. Here she has both, so she's happy :).

Thursday 25 April

Catching up on e-mails before nursery.

Friday 26 April

Making a den with the cushions :).

2013: Week 16

Saturday 13 April

We had a lovely day celebrating Mum's impending significant birthday with about 25 family and friends. It took Daisy a long while to warm up to a couple of dozen relative strangers (surprise surprise) but she got there in the end, and once she was happy in everyone's company, she showed them how well she could feed the duck.

Sunday 14 April

Happy Birthday Nanna! I know Mum hates having her photo taken, so instead, here's one of my all-time favourite pictures of me and Daisy.  To get her to look in the direction of the camera and smile all at the same time, we played peekaboo with her blanket :).

Monday 15 April

Still no better at eating tidily, then...

Tuesday 16 April

The weather has FINALLY started to get a bit more Spring-like, so Daisy and I spent some time in the garden this afternoon, looking for wiggly worms to put in the compost.

Wednesday 17 April

Daisy had a TERRIBLE night's sleep last night, culminating in her coming in with us so she'd finally go to sleep and stay asleep.  It didn't work. But while Jon had to go to work today, Daisy could do this on the sofa...

Thursday 18 April

Daisy was sent home from nursery this morning as she vomited within 15 minutes of getting there - going some way to explaining why she didn't sleep the other night. However, she seemed fine the rest of the day, which was a shame because I had loads to do today and I didn't get any of it done with her at home. She grazed on crackers all day and was her usual self - generally lovely and a little bit naughty - so this afternoon we went to the park.  I took 300 or so photos and this is one of my favourites.

Friday 19 April

This morning while I was packing her up to take her to Daddy's, Daisy picked up two of her jigsaw puzzles and said 'Bye bye Mummy, I go to work now!'

2013: Week 15

Saturday 6 April

We went over to Ipswich today to celebrate Finn's second birthday. He loved the book we got him, about Finn going to Peppa Pig's birthday party :).

Sunday 7 April

Jon and Daisy spent some time in the garden today as the weather was just slightly warmer than freezing cold, and she came back with these beautiful daffodils for me. I have a very similar photo of her doing exactly the same thing this time last year. In fact, she's wearing the same coat in both pictures...

Monday 8 April

Cheeky chops!

Tuesday 9 April

Daisy didn't sleep very well last night and eventually came in with us at about 03:00. This is how she slept most of the night after that. Which was unfortunate for Jon, whose head is usually where Daisy's feet are...

Wednesday 10 April

Daisy spent yesterday and today with Daddy, and he took this gorgeous photo of her while they were out.

Thursday 11 April

Having fun at Bouncers.

Friday 12 April

We went up to Mum & Dad's today as it's Mum's birthday on Sunday. Daisy loved seeing Nanna and Grandpa, and of course, Auntie Jen!

2013: Week 14

Saturday 30 March

Daisy went to Daddy's house today for 24 hours, and he took this beautiful photograph of her while they paid their now-obligatory visit to the zoo.

Sunday 31 March

Sporting her Minnie Mouse bow that came in her Easter Egg from Jon's Mum. And enjoying the aforementioned Easter Egg too :).

Monday 1 April

I took this photo from the front seat of the car, through the gap between the seat and the headrest. Cheeky monkey!

Tuesday 2 April

We went to the doctor's surgery today to get some ointment for Daisy's eye, which seems to have a minor infection.  While we were waiting for her prescription to be ready, Daisy made herself comfortable.

Wednesday 3 April

Beautiful girl :).

Thursday 4 April

A couple of food-related photos to finish this week.  First, eating the pizza she put together herself for her tea...

Friday 5 April

And second, getting to grips with spaghetti. 'It's just like wiggly worms, Mummy!'

2013: Week 13

Saturday 23 March

Daisy was away this weekend so I took the opportunity to attend Part 2 of the 'Get to Know Your DSLR Camera' course that I did last December. There was lots to learn, and unfortunately for us not much chance to practise because it was snowing heavily and freezing cold at the time we were due to go outside. So instead of showing a photograph of something I learned, here's the opposite - I switched the camera back to Auto to take this picture of Teddy and his baby brother Zachary :).

Sunday 24 March

Sleeping Beauty.

Monday 25 March

Who on earth fixes a fence in the snow? My Dad, that's who. He also painted the whole fence, down both sides of the garden, over the next couple of days. Love you, Dad!

Tuesday 26 March

Daisy hasn't been well since the middle of last week, and was sick yesterday evening so she didn't go to nursery this morning. She actually didn't seem too bad today, but had been awake a lot in the night and had given me a terrible night's sleep. This afternoon I went upstairs for a nap and Mum said she'd look after Daisy, but Daisy had her own plans and was soon snuggled up with me in the bed. I didn't manage to get to sleep, but she did :).

Wednesday 27 March

A rare photo of Daisy and Mummy :).

Thursday 28 March

Cheeky Monkey!

Friday 29 March

We went across to Ipswich today to celebrate Jon's stepdad's birthday, and we gave the kids our Easter eggs as we'll be at home on Sunday. They went down really well :).
