2013: Week 34

Saturday 17 August

This is a shot from Keswick the other week. Grandpa & Jen took Daisy to the park while Nanna & I ran some errands, and apparently before we got there, Daisy was sitting on the rock and singing 'Part of Your World' from the Little Mermaid, but she wouldn't do it again, especially not when she saw me get the camera out, so this was the best I could get :).

Sunday 18 August

Daisy hasn't quite grasped that when I ask her to look at the camera and she says she is doing, I know when she's lying...

Monday 19 August

This isn't a great quality shot as it was taken on my phone, but we have so few photographs taken together that I had to get this one in. I took it at the soft play place (still known to Daisy as the funfair) this morning.

Tuesday 20 August

This afternoon we took a walk to the river to feed the ducks, but we took a quick detour to say hello to the cat in the house opposite ours on the way.

Wednesday 21 August

Nanna & Grandpa arrived this lunchtime! We spent some time this afternoon playing in the paddling pool, and as Daisy wouldn't take her dress off, it got ever so slightly wet. Nanna got quite wet too :).

Thursday 22 August

Love you!

Friday 23 August

This afternoon we went to Priory Park, which is the other side of St Neots and somewhere I hadn't been before, but it had plenty of playground areas and, more importantly, a couple of geocache locations, so we went treasure hunting :).

2013: Week 33

I barely took any photos this week, as Daisy was away all week, so most of these are photos that were taken of her but not by me, and one or two are photos that I took while we were in Keswick but didn't make the cut for that week's post :).

Saturday 10 August

Daisy's Grandma and Grandad bought her this beautiful dress for her birthday, and a Minnie Mouse umbrella, which she insisted on taking out with her today. In 25 degree heat :).

Sunday 11 August

I took this photo when we arrived at Keswick the other week. Daisy had been awake for most of the journey, but she'd held tightly onto two microfibre cleaning cloths that Mum had given me for the whole time, and she wasn't about to let go of them just because she was now asleep...

Monday 12 August

Not a new outfit, but certainly a new hair band. I'm not sure how long it stayed on her head after the photo was taken, though.

Tuesday 13 August

At last, the day she'd been waiting for had finally arrived! She and Daddy got the Eurostar to Mickey's Castle today (aka Disneyland Paris). She met quite a few of the characters and, surprisingly, wasn't all that scared by most of them, Tigger being the exception to that rule. Here she is chatting to Pluto...

Wednesday 14 August

Girl's got style.

Thursday 15 August

High five, Geppetto!

Friday 16 August

Last day at Mickey's Castle today, before getting the train home this afternoon. As for me, I spent the day in a spa with Clare, but she wasn't too keen on me putting up the photo of her wearing a bath robe and eating lunch with no make-up on. I was going to show the only other photo I took today, of a voucher for a complimentary return trip to the spa any time before 31st November 2013 (!!), but I decided this picture of Daisy, which Daddy actually took a few weeks ago, trumped anything else I could offer, by a long way :).

2013: Week 32

Saturday 3 August

I have two friends from the North East who didn't know each other when we all lived there but who both now live in Warwick, so I put them in touch with each other, and today Jon, Daisy and I drove over there to spend the day with them and their families. We had a really lovely day, eating a picnic in the garden, then going to St Nicholas' Park for an afternoon of playgrounds, paddling and ice creams.

Sunday 4 August

Another photo from yesterday as I didn't take any today - the aforementioned ice creams :).

Monday 5 August

Daisy is still adamant that she doesn't want to use the potty, but that didn't stop her from pulling down her trousers and sitting on it voluntarily this morning while I was in the kitchen...

Tuesday 6 August

Apparently Jon was never told that if the wind changed his face would stay like that, so he taught Daisy how to do it too :).

Wednesday 7 August

Daisy and I spent most of today playing with the family next-door. I love this shot of her coming down the slide from the tree house.

Thursday 8 August

It's been a week of facial expressions this week...

Friday 9 August

I took Daisy to London today to spend just over a week with Daddy. His parents came down from Manchester and they had an early birthday party for her, and Uncle James, Auntie Sam and Jack also went round, taking cakes with them, which made for one very happy almost-three-year-old!

2013: Week 31

Saturday 27 July

In honour of our six-month versary (not anniversary, as anni means year), a photo of us after we returned from a lovely meal at the Turkish restaurant in St Neots - the first time in two and a half years that I'd been to a restaurant here, not counting takeaways. The food was indeed lovely; the service not so much, but it didn't spoil a great evening.

Sunday 28 July

Daisy's at Daddy's this weekend but he e-mailed this picture over. Love it!

Monday 29 July

Doesn't everyone wear a swimsuit and wellies to jump in puddles in July???

Tuesday 30 July

Daisy had a visit from her friend Teddy today, plus his Mummy and baby brother. Unfortunately the weather wasn't anywhere near as warm as when we visited them a few weeks ago, but that didn't stop the two of them from playing in the paddling pool and getting up to mischief.

Wednesday 31 July

My crazy-haired monster :).

Thursday 1 August

Looks serious. Maybe Peppa Pig's Daddy has been pulled over for speeding, or Mickey and Minnie have had a fight...

Friday 2 August

The weather was lovely again today, so we spent most of the day in the garden. Nekked, as Daisy says :).
